In 2006 Robert and Anne Perry donated their historic home to the LHS, on the condition that the house be moved to the Society’s land on Pillsbury Road. Too large to move in one piece, the building was professionally disassembled and stored in trailers. After two years of meetings, site plans, revisions and final approval, contractors poured a concrete foundation and completed the floor system before the first snow of 2009. The remainder of the building sits in trailers on the Society’s complex awaiting the funds required to restore it to its former glory, some of which can be seen in the photos below.
On Thursday, January 26, 2017, LHS Vice President John Savina officially signed the contract for the Reverend William Morrison House Assessment along with Arron Sturgis of Preservation Timber Framing. The Londonderry Historical Society membership is excited to see this next chapter in this important building’s history begin!
